From Rugby to Football.

Well as I start by why I am doing this. It's an assignment for my English class which I
take as a fun assignment that I can use to tell those who are out there about my carrier
of being an athlete. Born and raised in the Island of Samoa where Rugby is the dominant sport
was a blast exprience in my life. Where you know that not every one can play a contact sport
with out pads. As I grew up, Rugby was already in the family. My father and uncles played for my country's
national team in the 70's, and my older sister played for my country's women national team. Then
it came down to my brother and cousins and then myself playing the sport that we loved.

In 2004, I moved from the homeland and into the United States. I started to learn how to play
a new sport. American Football. Coming from a rugby backround it wasn't so hard when my coach told me
"go get the person with ball," where it was easy from a linebackers point of view. But still the concepts of the
two sports have a little bit of the similarities but a lot of differences. As I spent two years learning the new
sport at Berkeley High School I was fortunately blessed by the Lord with a full scholarship to play American
Football at Northern Arizona University.
